Benedictine Abbey of Montecassino (FR)
The abbey of Montecassino is a Benedictine monastery located on the top of Montecassino, in Lazio. Since December 2014 the site has been managed by the Polo Museale del Lazio. The abbey of Montecassino is the oldest monastery in Italy together with the monastery of Santa Scolastica.

St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, officially the Papal Major Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican, is a Roman Catholic basilica located in St. Peter's Square in the Vatican City state; it is a masterpiece of Italian art and one of the symbols of Rome, of which it dominates the panorama. It is the largest of Rome's four papal basilicas and is often described as the largest church in the world both for its size and, metaphorically, for its importance as a center of Catholicism. However, it is not the cathedral church of the Roman diocese since this title belongs to the basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, which is also the first in dignity being the Mother and Head of all the Churches of the City and of the World. As a papal chapel, located adjacent to the Apostolic Palace, St. Peter's Basilica is the seat of the main manifestations of Catholic worship and is therefore in solemn function on the occasion of the main papal celebrations. Under the pontificate of Pius IX it hosted the sessions of the First Vatican Council and under Pope John XXIII and Paul VI those of the Second Vatican Council. In addition to its liturgical importance, due to its thousand-year history, the workers involved, the exceptional technical and artistic quality, as well as the enormous and lasting influence it exerted on later architecture, St. Peter's basilica is widely considered one of the absolute masterpieces and one of the most important achievements in the history of architecture, and is included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site called Vatican City and established in 1984.

The papal Liberian archpriest major archbasilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, known simply by the name of basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore or basilica Liberiana (because on its site it was thought there was a cult building erected by Pope Liberius, which however has been denied by investigations carried out under the pavement), is one of the four papal basilicas of Rome, located in Piazza dell'Esquilino on the top of the homonymous hill, on the top of the Cispio, between the Rione Monti and the Esquilino. It is the only basilica in Rome to have preserved the primitive paleo-Christian structure, albeit enriched by subsequent additions.

Amaseno (FR)
Amaseno (IPA: amaˈsɛːno, locally Masè) is an Italian town of 4,352 inhabitants in the province of Frosinone in Lazio. Church of San Pietro Apostolo; it dates back to the 14th century, in fact it is mentioned in some documents concerning the payment of taxes. Over the centuries the church underwent various changes, until 1749. In 1944 due to the bombing of the Second World War it was damaged and had to be restored. Some parts of the church are in the Gothic style. It has three naves and an 18th century apse. Church of Santa Maria dell'Auricola; it is located on the Auricola hill on a height of 270 meters. It dates back to the 13th century, in fact the church is mentioned in some documents of Pope Honorius II towards the beginning of the 13th century. According to some hypotheses, the church was founded by Cistercian monks. In 1893 the church passed into the hands of some bishops, who in turn entrusted it to the Franciscan fathers who had it restored. Like many other churches in the area, it suffered a lot of damage in the Second World War. Now the church is in the hands of the Curia of Ferentino. Church of Santa Maria Assunta; consecrated in 1177, it was probably completed at the end of the 13th century, the year in which the pulpit made by Pietro and Giacomo Gullimari de Piperno (Priverno) is dated. The church, which shows numerous Cistercian features, both in the plan and in the architectural sculpture, preserves interesting medieval and modern works of art inside. It also possesses the prodigious Blood of San Lorenzo martyr which melts on the occasion of the feast (10 August)

According to the most famous legend, the Montagna Spaccata di Gaeta split into two large blocks of rock at the time of Christ's crucifixion, leaving an inlet to the clear waters of the Gulf. The waters of the Mediterranean poured into the rupture lines, forming underground caves and streams. The natural recess became an ideal hiding place for pirates since ancient times.

Rome. The Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain is the largest of the famous fountains in Rome. Built on the facade of Palazzo Poli by Nicola Salvi, the competition announced by Pope Clement XII in 1731 had initially been won by the French sculptor Lambert-Sigisbert Adam but subsequently the assignment passed to Salvi: it is said that the change was due to the fact that the pontiff did not want to entrust the work to a foreigner, however another version explains that Adam had to return to France. Begun in 1732, it was finally entrusted in 1759 to Pietro Bracci helped by his son Virginio. The two completed the work, which was inaugurated in 1762.

Cistercian Abbey of Casamari (FR)
Casamari Abbey is one of the most important Italian monasteries of Cistercian Gothic architecture. It was built in 1203 and consecrated in 1217. It is located in the territory of the municipality of Veroli, in the province of Frosinone. In June 1957 Pope Pius XII elevated the abbey church to the dignity of a minor basilica.
